Nextjob offers individual assessments, competence development and career help to people with mental disabilities. The aim, where possible, is for the participants to be employed in the labour market with salary subsidy or flex jobs.

 

Nextjob is part of Job- & Aktivitetscenteret in the municipality of Gentofte. Nextjob offers two courses; 'Job & Pension’ and 'Afklaring & Job’.

 

Job & Pension applies to young and adult mentally disabled persons on early retirement. The project consists of a two-year course with 15-20 participants. The first year of the course combines the focus on general and labour market education and two trainee courses in the labour market. The next aim is that the participants should be employed in jobs with salary subsidy in the labour market.

 

During the trainee course and as a minimum during the first year of employment the participants join a network with other participants, where they meet each other in different social and professional arrangements. The network includes also a continuous contact and support from the recruitment consultants in Job & Pension.

 

Job & Pension is operating according to the Act: ’Lov om ansvaret for og styringen af den aktive beskæftigelsesindsats’.

 

Afklaring & Job is a long-standing individual course for young and adult persons with learning disorders, who don’t receive early retirement. The aim is to clarify and enhance the work capability of the participants to obtain, where possible, a lasting connection to the labour market. It is done during an individually arranged course with trainee placements in the labour market and education as required.

 

Afklaring & Job is operated according to the Act: ’Lov om aktiv socialpolitik’ (revalidering) and to the Act: ’Lov om en aktiv beskæftigelsesindsats’ (vejledning og opkvalificering samt virksomhedspraktik).

 

Four consultants in Job & Pension and three in Afklaring & Job act as personal supervisors and support for the individual participant during the whole course. The recruitment consultants co-ordinate the daily activities, provide contact to the municipalities and are involved in establishing trainee placements and employment in companies. Furthermore an information employee is attached to Nextjob.
